Getting Started with Outlook 2007

  1. Open Outlook 2007
  2. "Click" Tools, from the pull down menu and select E-mail Accounts Settings
  3. In the Account Settings window, select the E-Mail tab, and "click" New.
  4. "Bullet" Microsoft Exchange Server, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP, and "click" Next
  5. "Check" manually configure server setting; and "click" Next
  6. "Bullet" Internet E-mail; and "click" Next

Configure your Outlook 2007 for POP3 and SMTP Authentication

  1. Type in your User Information:
  2. Type in your Server Information:

    • The account type is POP3
    • The incoming mail server is mail.shortcutsolutions.net
    • The outgoing mail server is mail.shortcutsolutions.net

  3. Type in your Log-in Information:

    • The user name is your entire e-mail address
    • The password is your e-mail account password

  4. "Check" the remember password field

Configure your Outlook 2007 for Windows to retrieve your company e-mail

  1. "Click" on More settings...
  2. Under the Outgoing Server tab "check" My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication; and "click" OK
  3. "Click" Next
  4. Review the account information; and "click" Finish
